Hélder Galego was born in 1989 in Lisbon. Since a very young age he developed a keen passion for music, especially singing, participating in a few school plays and activities as a singer.

Later on (in 2009), during his college years studying Forensic Science at Instituto Superior de Ciências da Saúde Egas Moniz (ISCSEM), he would manage his academical studies while starting, along with three other friends, a pop/rock cover’s band (“Epifania”). Hélder became the lead singer and performed small concerts in local bars and summer festivities.

His passion for music would later rekindle in 2018 when joining Coro de Câmara Outros Cantos (CCOC) conducted by João Barros. With the choir Hélder participated in several concerts throughout the last years and attended an international choral competition “Festival de Coros de Verão” 2019 Edition, that took place in Centro Cultural de Belém and Mosteiro dos Jerónimos in Lisbon.

In September 2019, Hélder enrolled in Conservatório de Música de Mafra, where he currently studies vocal technique with soprano singer Ana Leonor Pereira. Along with other students he started a small vocal ensemble (“Camerata”), participating in several academic activities.

The musical studies and performing projects with CCOC and Nova Era Vocal Ensemble (NEVE) are a complement to his work as a Fire Investigator.
