Inês Chora

Inês Chora started her musical education at the age of 8, studying piano with Catherine Châtelain Paiva at Escola de Música do Externato Marista de Lisboa. Later on she also attended classes of the recorder, classical guitar, music theory and choir at the same school.

Although she finished masters in Architecture, her real love is performing. She debuted as a soloist on the English stage in Filipe Thomaz's musical Freedom Again at the Lisbon Players as Arya. Among other theatre projects, she's a founding member of Teoria do Caos Improv Theatre group where she developed her skills in Soundpainting, as well as a regular collaborator of Já International Theatre.

Currently, Inês is a member of Coro da Universidade de Lisboa working with Eduardo Martins since 2017, and a co-founder of the As Musas vocal ensemble (2018), where she has also done some musical arranging.

She joined Nova Era Vocal Ensemble in 2020 after a short term at Nova Era Schola with Marcos Cerejo.
