Manuel started studying cello with Mafalda Nascimento, at the age of 4. He pursued his musical studies in Academia de Música de Lisboa and, afterwards, in Academia Musical dos Amigos das Crianças, where he concluded the 8th grade of cello in the class of Daniela de Brito. As a young cellist, Manuel participated in competitions such as Concurso Capela (1st prize) and Concurso Internacional Cidade do Fundão (3rd prize). Between 2018 and 2021, he took part in several editions of the strings course ZêzereArts in Tomar and Évora.

From 7 until 13 years old, Manuel was a member of Coro Infantil da Universidade de Lisboa, performing in productions like J.S. Bach’s “St. Matthew’s Passion” and Howard Shore’s “The Lord of the Rings”, at Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, and Constança Capdeville’s “O Anjinho Dorminhoco”, at Centro Cultural de Belém. He was touring in Spain, France and Italy. Manuel also sang in his primary school (Escola Ave-Maria) choir, with whom he participated in Festival Coral de Verão, at CCB, winning the gold award.

Currently, Manuel studies Business Administration at the Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics.
